“But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Messiah may dwell in me.”
– 2 Corinthians 12:9 (Tree of Life Version)
Today, I went for a PT evaluation to get restarted on my Spinraza journey. I have chosen to document as much of it as possible for a few reasons. First of all, I am the first adult in this area to be dosed. There will be others. For this reason, I would like to document the journey so they will know what to expect when it is their turn. Additionally, I just want to share for people who are curious about Spinraza and my life and how the two are experiencing this marvelous collision. At first, I considered editing out my extreme weakness, but then I made a conscious choice to leave all the vulnerability in place. I’ve chosen to include it as a part of the Pursuit of the Kingdom because all of our lives should be a Kingdom pursuit. God is the Great Physician, but sometimes He chooses to heal through the hands of men and women who are trained in medicine. Whether I like it or not, SMA is a part of my testimony and if it is, then I want to handle overcoming it like a Daughter of the King.
