Hebrews 13:8-9 NLT
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. [9] So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas. Your strength comes from God’s grace, not from rules about food, which don’t help those who follow them.
I’m always wary of so called “new revelations” which often contradict the teaching of scripture. This doesn’t mean that God doesn’t speak today or that he doesn’t give a specific commandments for certain individuals. But when people add things to the Bible and say, “This is God’s command for everybody,” that’s when I tend to reject these so called, “new revelations.”
God’s word does not change. God’s will does not change. God has always desired us to be saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. So do not let any man-made commands hold you down. Read the Bible for yourself and pray. God will show you what he wants you to do.
